Film Adaptation Announced for Francesca Fagnani's Debut Novel Mala. Roma Criminale
During the presentation of the book Mala. Roma Criminale by Francesca Fagnani, the first novel by the journalist and well-known television host of the show Belve on Rai 2, which has been successfully airing since 2021 with a 12% audience share, it was announced that the production companies Cattleya and Fremantle will produce a film adaptation.

The annoucement was made during the event Una montagna di libri organized by Francesco Chiamulera in Cortina d'Ampezzo on Wednesday, August 21.

The story begins with the murder of Fabrizio Piscitelli, also known as Diabolik, the leader of Lazio's "Irriducibili" ultras and a top figure in the so-called "Ponte Milvio gang." On August 7, 2019, at the Parco degli Acquedotti in Rome, Piscitelli was executed by a hitman disguised as a runner. The assassin approached him while he was sitting on a bench and shot him in the head at close range. Diabolik was just the tip of the iceberg in a criminal network that controls the capital: the cartel of Michele Senese, the historic and emerging criminal underworld, and the group of Albanians, another violent and powerful cartel that grew in Diabolik's shadow.
