Jüri Pihel, CEO of Duo Media Networks, has confirmed that the popular Estonian quiz show 15 Questions, originally aired on Kanal 2, will soon be adapted in Latvia.
15 Questions gained international recognition as a finalist in the PITCH & PLAY LIVE! format competition, organized by CEETV and NATPE Budapest last year. This year, it was highlighted as one of the CEE Breakout Hits of the 2023/24 season by CEETV, thanks to its remarkable success in Estonia.
Pihel expressed his excitement about the show's international expansion, stating, "The format is very important to us, and we're thrilled that it will be launching in Latvia this September. This is our first international sale of the format, and we are currently in discussions with five other countries, which is fantastic news!"
CEETV has disclosed that Latvian commercial broadcaster 360TV has acquired the rights to the show, which will debut under the local title "15 Jautājumi" on September 2. The show will air daily at 7:30 PM, with an initial order of 60 episodes already in production. Each weekday, two contestants will compete for a prize of 150 euros, with Magnus Eriņš set to host.
Eriņš shared his enthusiasm, saying, "I anticipate a range of emotions and valuable lessons from hosting the show, as it will offer insights into how people think and react. I'm inspired by the perseverance and quick thinking of the contestants. This challenge is not only exciting but also an opportunity for me to prove myself, inspire others, and become part of something I've dreamed of for years."
15 Questions is a strategic memory quiz that allows players to leverage their strengths and exploit their opponents' weaknesses. What sets this game apart is the innovative clue system, ensuring that contestants never face a question without knowing the answer.
The international distribution of 15 Questions is handled by TVBIZZ, excluding the Baltic region.
