Avi Armoza Buys Back Company from ITV Studios

Israeli formats veteran Avi Armoza buys his Armoza Formats business back from the UK’s ITV Studios.
Both companies confirmed a management buy-out, marking the independence of Armoza Formats once again. Armoza Formats will maintain its exclusive right to produce ITV Studios Formats in Israel.

ITV Studios will hold onto the Armoza Formats catalogue it acquired, which includes approximately 100 titles such as Still Standing, Marry Me Now, and The Four. Meanwhile, Armoza Formats will take ownership of all future projects effective immediately, without impacting ongoing productions.

In 2019, ITV Studios acquired full ownership of Armoza Formats, integrating it into ITV ith him as he represents our catalogue of award-winning formats.”

Studios’ global creative network under the leadership of Mike Beale. By 2022, Armoza Formats had expanded to become ITV Studios’ production arm in Israel.

Armoza Formats boasts an impressive portfolio, including the Israeli rendition of the ITV format Love Island, soon to premiere on Keshet-owned Free TV. Additionally, the company has produced three seasons of Come Dine With Me and two seasons of the game show The 1% Club for KAN 11.

Currently, Armoza Formats is actively involved in the production of a new Arabic language version of Come Dine With Me, with an Arabic language adaptation of The Chase in development. Additionally, their original production, Cooking Up Memories, is captivating audiences on MAKAN.

Avi Armoza emphasized the company's commitment to adapting to market demands, stating, “Adapting to the changing needs of the market – exploring and finding new ways to do business has always been at the heart of Armoza Formats. I’m excited for the next chapter.”

Lisa Perrin, managing director of international production at ITV Studios, expressed her satisfaction, saying, “Under Avi’s leadership, shows like Love Island and Come Dine with Me have launched successfully, and I’m really pleased to continue to work together with him as he represents our catalogue of award-winning formats".
