The Stupid House Won the MipFormats Pitch 2024
The Stupid House emerged victorious as the winner of the 2024 MIPFORMATS PITCH, hosted by MIPTV in collaboration with ZDF Studios.

Selected from a pool of five finalists, The Stupid House presented a standout unscripted entertainment format on stage at the Palais des Festivals. The jury, composed of esteemed industry professionals including Ilan Astrug, VP of Formats Acquisition and Sales at Warner Bros. Int. TV Production; Siobhan Crawford, Founder of GLOW MEDIA; Julien Degroote, EVP and Head of Content Development at TF1 Group; Ella Umansky, VP of Format Acquisitions at ITV Studios; and Ralf Rückauer, VP Unscripted at ZDF Studios, deemed 'The Stupid House' the most promising concept.

Competing against other compelling formats such as Villa Incognito by Tuvalu Media (Netherlands), 25 by LGH Entertainment (Norway), A.I Of the Beholder by David Tobiasz (Canada), and Unknown Champions by Phillip Sindermann (Germany), The Stupid House stood out for its innovation and creativity.

As part of the prize, The Stupid House (created by Sergio Lopez) will be granted a €2000 financial contribution towards development. Additionally, they will receive complementary accreditation to a forthcoming MIP Market and gain access to valuable coaching and mentoring from experts within the ZDF Studios Group throughout the next year.

This year's competition attracted a record-breaking 89 submissions from 29 different countries, highlighting the global appeal and significance of MIPFORMATS PITCH in the entertainment industry.
