This year's Media Hall at trade fair Fiberdays 24 end of February in Wiesbaden, near Frankfurt, focused on the resulting opportunities and challenges for network operators, content providers and TV broadcasters.
At its core, everything revolved around two questions: What will the television of the future look like? And which business models will generate a lot of data in the future - and therefore require a high-performance fiber optic infrastructure?
In ten panels and four keynotes, executives and experts from the TV, media and fiber optic industry discussed current market developments, TV trends, pricing models and bundling strategies as well as FAST Channels and the question of what works and what doesn't work, as well as the topic in-car entertainment.
Both on the podium and among the guests were representatives of well-known TV platforms, streaming platforms and broadcasters from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Media Hall organizer and podcast host Christian Heinkele. "Media Hall 2024 was a complete success. For the third year, we managed to bring the entire TV industry to Wiesbaden, because the presentations and panels discussed the really relevant topics in the industry: The future of television, FAST Channels and AVOD as well as in-car video entertainment."
After four events in Wiesbaden, Fiberdays 24, the trade fair for digitalization, digital infrastructure, and fiber optic industry, set a record with more than 7,600 trade visitors. The next edition will take place on April 2 and 3, 2025 at Messe Frankfurt.
